A car park, a pile of cardboard, and an afternoon where families got to reshape their world.

The situation
Most ways of asking people what they want are built for the people who are already comfortable speaking in meetings. Cardboard Assembly was the opposite. It was play, with the door held wide open, and it let in everyone who would never come to a consultation.
The approach
We took over a space, put down cardboard, tape and pens, and invited families to build the thing they wanted to see. No right way, no judging, no need to explain yourself. Just make.
That is the whole method. When the task is making, there is no wrong answer, so people try things they would not try if they thought they were being assessed.
What happened
[LOCATION AND DATE. What the space was. What got built, who turned up, and the moment that stuck with you. Photos would help here.]
Outcomes and learning
[WHAT CHANGED FOR THE PEOPLE WHO CAME, AND WHAT WE WOULD DO DIFFERENTLY. Did any of it carry on afterwards?]
